Great Long-lasting Racing Game
Sega has done it right. They have delivered another great game; Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was well received everywhere, both for the Wii U and the 3DS.

The major difference between the two platforms is the gaming experience. In the Wii U version, you play with the GamePad and compete online against other racers, while in the 3DS version, you can admire all those beautifully designed tracks in 3D. This certainly adds something to the game.

With the bonus edition, you get Metal Sonic with all mods, an extra track, and its mirror version: Outrun Bay. I must admit that this is one of the most enjoyable tracks, and Metal Sonic is one of the best characters in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

The game offers a wide selection of game modes: World Tour, GP, VS, single race... In short, the game scores high in terms of playtime. In World Tour, you need to complete missions and earn stars. You determine the number of stars by choosing the difficulty level for each mission. But beware: If you always opt for C-Class (easy) or B-Class (normal), you won't get far. There are certain points on the map where you need to have a specific number of stars, sometimes quite a lot, only achievable if you choose A-Class (difficult) for every mission. It's indeed very challenging. I sometimes get really frustrated with the boss challenges.

Grand Prix and single race are also fun, but these are more suitable for multiplayer, which works really well in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It's a shame that the 3DS version lacks online capabilities.

This is a successful Racing Game with Sonic and many All-Stars, featuring beautifully designed tracks, fun items, great local multiplayer, and offers long-lasting entertainment. This game deserves a high rating and is not a Mario Kart copy. Online multiplayer would have been desirable and would have made the game perfect, but an 8.6 is a great score for a great game.

Serious contender for Mario Kart
As a classic Mario Kart fan, I was skeptical when I tried Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. However, it was love at first sight: Instead of copying Mario Kart, Sega takes a different approach and has thereby created a serious contender for Mario Kart 7 and 8.

The game is packed with modes, from simple racing to a battle mode. The career mode is addictive and there are plenty of characters. The tracks are extensive and sometimes quite cryptic, but the transformation gimmick is a lot of fun.

Having played Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on the Wii U as well, I must say that, due to the better graphics and controls, the Wii U version is superior.

Truly an amazing game!
Sonic has done it again, another great game has been made about him. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has been released for the Wii U and the 3DS, and I haven't heard anyone speak negatively about this game, and I'm talking about both versions, which is quite impressive and deserved because it's truly a good and fun game!

Of course, there is still a difference between the 3DS and Wii U. With the Wii U, you play with a gamepad and can also play online, while on the 3DS, you can see everything they've created in 3D, which looks a lot nicer and shows that Sega really knew what they were doing, and they succeeded. This is also a very big plus point of the game.

If you have the bonus edition, you get Metal Sonic and all the mods that come with it. You also get an extra track called Outrun Bay. The bonus version is a must-have, Metal Sonic is a very fun character, and the track is also very good, all very cleverly done and very nice.

The game has various modes: World Tour, GP, VS, single race, those are a lot of modes and you can play for a long time, which is another very big plus point. During World Tour, you do missions and earn stars. How many stars you need to get is your choice. If you choose Easy or Normal too often, you won't get very far, so they have also added a challenge. For some places on the map, you need a certain number of stars, which you only get by playing missions on hard. So, it's all very challenging, but challenge is very nice in games and is always a plus point for me, okay, it gets difficult but that's part of it.

But after many positives about this game, here comes the less fun part: multiplayer is missing. Multiplayer is missing in a lot of games, but the worst part is that there is multiplayer on the Wii U, and not on the 3DS!

All in all, I have to say that this is a very successful game and I definitely recommend this game to you. The only downside is, of course, that there is no multiplayer, which would have definitely improved the game. But everything is in 3D now, which makes it a lot nicer. I am very positive about this game, as are many people, and that attention is well-deserved. I am really unsure about my rating for the game because the lack of multiplayer is a real shame.
