Pokémon like you've never seen before!
Pokémon X is an amazing game. Not just because it's a Pokémon game, but the story and gameplay itself deserve a high score. The story might not be as extensive as in games like Final Fantasy or Tales of the Abyss, but it's definitely worth it.
Compared to previous Pokémon games, quite a lot has changed. This time, you play entirely as yourself: you can buy your own clothes and even visit the hairdresser for a different hairstyle.

Another major addition to the game is the Player Search System. With this, you can meet other trainers using Wi-Fi or a local wireless connection. This way, you can trade and have battles with trainers you don't (yet) know. You can also exchange O-Powers. These are small 'boosts' in the game that are temporary (Pokémon gets more Sp. Attack, you get more money after battles, etc.). Another feature of PSS is Wonder Trade. You select a Pokémon you want to Wonder Trade and in return, you receive a Pokémon that another trainer is Wonder Trading!

There's also Super Training. This allows you to increase the HP, (Sp.) Attack, (Sp.) Defense, and Speed of your Pokémon. It's a nice addition, but the minigame you have to play to super train your Pokémon could have been better. After all, your Pokémon has to throw a ball into goals and sometimes dodge balls. It would have been nicer to have minigames like in Pokémon SoulSilver/Heart Gold.

Another addition is Pokémon Amie. It's a bit like Nintendogs, but less elaborate and without the dogs. The friendship you build here is crucial for Pokémon evolution.

The concept of these Pokémon games remains the same: catch and train Pokémon, defeat gym leaders, and ultimately: beat the Elite 4. It's very addictive, especially now that there are so many different Pokémon! You can catch or receive both new and older Pokémon. At a certain point, you can even get Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander, the starters from the very first Pokémon games!

I find Pokémon X extremely addictive because of all these new possibilities! The creators have really made sure that this game won't bore you, even if you've already played all the previous games. It's not just 'another Pokémon game'. It's a Pokémon game done right, but still a whole new game thanks to all the additions.

X has completely reignited my interest in the Pokémon games!
The first Pokémon game I played was Blue. Then Yellow, Gold, and Silver. The last Pokémon game I played was Crystal on the GameBoy Color. After that, I lost interest in the series. So, I had my doubts about Pokémon X, but I'm glad I ended up buying it!

The 3D world gives Pokémon a fresh look, and the battles have become more enjoyable as well. The game looks great, and the music is not bothersome at all (except in one location). However, I found the game to be a bit too easy. For example, I managed to defeat all gyms and the Victory Road on my first try. I still remember back in the days of Blue/Red when the Victory Road and some gym leaders were quite challenging.

It took me over 40 hours to complete the main storyline. After that, you unlock some locations where there is still plenty to do. You can also engage in online battles and trade Pokémon almost right from the start.

There is so much to do in this game, especially if you aim to collect all the Pokémon. Since I hadn't played Pokémon games for a few years, most aspects of the game felt refreshingly new to me.

A fantastic Pokémon game
Pokémon X and Y introduce us to the brand-new Kalos region and the 68 new Pokémon that come with it.

The new 3D style breathes new life into the well-known Pokémon formula. The basic gameplay remains unchanged, except for the introduction of mega-evolution. With special items, you can mega-evolve some Pokémon. Not only do they take on a new form, but they also become stronger. This can only be done in battle, and you can only mega-evolve one Pokémon per fight.

Another novelty is a brand-new type: fairy types. Some old Pokémon are now fairy types as well (e.g. Clefairy).

There have been better storylines in previous Pokémon games, but it's still enjoyable to play the game.

Best Pokemon game to start with
Pokémon X was my first Pokémon game that I tried. In terms of gameplay, it's a standard Pokémon game where you travel along routes, follow the story, and catch different Pokémon.

It's also interesting to see that this game is based on France, which you can often see reflected in the story. In this Pokémon game, you also get a new feature where you can mega-evolve some Pokémon during battles.

I personally had a lot of fun playing this game, especially because it was my first Pokémon game. You can easily play this game without needing to know the previous generation games to understand what the game is about.

Beautiful!
A fantastic game! The 3D world is stunning, even though you can't activate 3D everywhere, which is a bit of a shame. New Pokémon X to collect, mega forms, and much more! If you've never played Pokémon before, this is a great game to start the series with.

Get Only X or Y
Since I got both versions, X and Y, I get a good view of both games. I find it a shame that there isn't much difference, except for the Pokémon. All the positives apply here as well, it really immerses you in the world and you feel it that way too. I really like Pokémon X, but I would recommend getting only one of the games and not both!

Pokémon X is a great game
The battle system has improved. Everything looks much nicer and prettier now. It's also fun that you can dress up your own character because then you can choose your own style. Pokemon X has a new story which is always a must, and of course, multiple Pokemon. The fun part is that you can catch both new and old Pokemon. It's of course exciting if you don't know all the Pokemon, as there is a lot to discover!

Great gameplay, and beautiful graphics.
Pokémon X is an amazing game for the 3DS. So far, I've played almost all the other Pokémon games, but this one was the best (except for Pokémon FireRed of course). The animations are really nice, the gameplay is smooth. The mega evolutions look awesome too.

Beautiful graphics and a vast story with many possibilities.
Pokémon X features a stunning 3D world where you encounter various Pokemon and mega evolutions. You can even change your appearance and buy clothes.
I was pleasantly surprised by this installment of Pokemon. The graphics are very beautiful, and the story is long and well-crafted. Additionally, you can obtain many Pokemons through world trade. One of my favorite parts of the Pokemon series!

More freedom, less difficulty
Pokémon X is and remains a phenomenon that has been creating lasting fans since the early '90s, who closely follow the series' development.

I myself am part of that group and can confidently say that this installment does justice to the Pokémon tradition. Fun for everyone, with an even larger arsenal of collectible monsters, trainers, and side activities like Pokemon-Amie and of course, Super Training.

Does this mean that this is the best part of the series? In my opinion, certainly not, as the continuously decreasing level of difficulty in these games reaches a low point here; so, for those seeking a challenge or perhaps wanting to skip a part of the series for once, this might be a good choice.

Lots of fun in Kalos!
Pokémon X and Y were the first 3D Pokémon games. They may sometimes seem a bit dated, but don't let that distract you: they are very good Pokémon games. The selection of Pocket Monsters is very nice, with a wide variety of types and strategies available. Mega evolution is a great mechanic that adds extra variety to battles. In this game, players can choose from three starters: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. All fun choices, but if none of them appeal to you, you can make a new choice fairly quickly.

In Kalos, there is also an evil organization, Team Flare. What they are planning is a mystery that the player soon discovers. Of course, they must be fought against.

A must-have for the 3DS! Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are both excellent choices!

Unique Trainer Designs and Mega Pokémon in Pokémon X
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y hold a special place in my heart because it was the first Pokémon game where I could design my own trainer. This really made me feel like I was part of the world of Pokémon. The visual style on the Nintendo 3DS is also very beautiful, bringing the Kalos region to life.

The newly introduced Pokémon are not particularly special, and there are only 72 of them. I found that quite disappointing. However, the new Mega Evolutions are a great success. They allow certain Pokémon to evolve and strengthen even further, adding a new strategic layer to battles. Especially Mega Charizard and Mega Mewtwo are incredibly cool and powerful.

The storyline doesn't feel completely finished, even though the story and characters are interesting enough. The highlight for me was the character AZ, who provides a fascinating history lesson about the Kalos region. A welcome feature is the Player Search System (PSS), which allows you to play Pokémon X online. This made it easy to communicate, trade, and battle with your friends, significantly enhancing the gaming experience.

A great experience in the world of Pokémon!
I remember playing this game often with my classmates in high school, catching the new legendary Pokemon and battling each other.

The first 3D Pokémon X game on the 3DS is a good game in my opinion. There are many diverse Pokémon to catch, and a new type called Fairy. There is also a new Mega Evolution ability that makes your Pokémon even stronger or even a different type. The graphics of the game are okay, it is a 3DS game after all. The music is also not outstanding in my opinion. The gameplay remains fun because you can use different combinations of Pokémon and their moves.

Overall a good game but in terms of quality, it could have been better.

Is leveling up your Pokémon taking too long? Not enough rare candies? No worries. If you have a friend with Pokémon X/Y, you can temporarily trade your team with them—just make sure you trust your partner, as you'll need to trade back afterwards. Your Pokémon will now earn 1.5 times the XP, making it much easier for you to take on the Elite Four!

What are the weirdest evolutions in Pokémon?
LuckyLucar io
45
In general, you can evolve your Pokémon in Pokémon X by simply leveling them up. Sometimes, you need to trade them or give them a specific item. Here are the "rare" evolutions in Pokémon X and Y.

Pancham - Pangoro
Pancham evolves into Pangoro at level 32. At least, that’s what you think. There’s an extra detail you need to know: You must have a Dark-type Pokémon in your party.
Spritzee - Aromatisse
Spritzee only evolves into Aromatisse when you trade it WHILE it’s holding a Sachet. A Sachet is an item you can find in the Battle Mansion, Route 12, and Cyllage City (only in Y).
Swirlix - Slurpuff
Follows the same principle as the previous one. Can be found in the Battle Mansion, Route 12, and Cyllage City (only in X).
Inkay - Malamar
Evolves at level 30 with the 3DS upside down. Check out the video below for clarification (in English).

That’s about it. Hopefully, this clears up some issues and you find it helpful :D!

When you defeat a trainer named Psychic Robert on Route 10 in Pokémon X, he says: "Wow! You and your Pokémon's power levels are incredible! They must be over 9,000 for sure!" This line references the famous quote "It's over 9000!" from the Dragonball Z TV series.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
Where can you encounter a spooky girl in Lumiose City?

If you enter the first building on your right in Lumiose City when coming from Route 14 in Pokémon X, you might encounter a ghostly girl on the second floor...

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
Why does a trainer on Victory Road say "Victory Road, my body is ready!"?
Bramd de Groot
39210
On Victory Road, you'll encounter a trainer who says: "Victory Road, my body is ready!" This is a reference to Reggie Fils-Aime, the former president of Nintendo of America, who famously said this during E3 2007. This phrase has since become quite well-known in the Pokémon community, especially in Pokémon X.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
Why does Professor Oak's grandson still say "Smell you later!" in Lumiose City?
Bramd de Groot

In one of the Pokémon Centers in Lumiose City, there’s a woman who mentions that Professor Oak's grandson went to the Kalos region to study. She also says that "bonjour" was quite alright for him, but he still always said "Smell you later!" whenever he left. This is a nod to Gary Oak, your rival from the original Pokémon X games for the GameBoy, who would always use that phrase when he made his exit.

How can I catch all the Pokémon in Pokémon X and Y?
Destroymic helle

1. If you have Cheat Pokémon in Black(2)/White(2), you CANNOT transfer them to Pokémon X and Y.
However, if you transfer "legal" Pokémon to Pokémon X and Y and you already have them, you can trade via Global Trade Link. This is highly recommended for quickly filling up your Pokédex and obtaining a Shiny Stone.

2. The new Action Replay (brand Powersaves) for the 3DS is very handy for unlocking Battle Points, money, O-Powers, and so on (there are still no rare Pokémon available, only Darkrai). This is a USB cable with a 3DS card holder. When you connect it (with the game inside) to a laptop or PC (make sure to install the software first), you can upload the cheats. You can also always restore your save file, as it saves every adjustment. If you love Shiny Pokémon, this is the way to get them as quickly as possible; otherwise, it can sometimes take days (!) before you encounter one, and it's usually not the Pokémon you're looking for. With this, you can change the first 10 Pokémon in your box to Shiny.

3. You can only catch Articuno/Moltres/Zapdos, Mewtwo, and Zygarde after you have defeated the Pokémon League in Pokémon X.

Secrets:
How to quickly level up your style to the max?
Retrogast
6547
Once you've maxed out your style level, you'll receive discounts in shops, 50% off taxi fares, and unlock many other extras. Here's a very quick and easy way to achieve this.

It's true that doing various activities in Lumiose City will increase your style level, such as eating, making videos, etc. However, there's a much faster and simpler way to get your style level to the max.

Head over to the Poké Ball Boutique in Lumiose. Speak to a taxi and tell them you want to go there. The next step is to buy Premier Balls. But don't buy a whole bunch at once. Just buy one at a time. You don't need to leave the shop; simply buy and pay for one Poké Ball at a time. They cost 200 each, so you won't go bankrupt. Depending on how far along you are, this may take a bit longer or shorter. You'll need to buy about 70 to 400 Premier Balls to reach max style.

How can you check if you have max style?

Go to the Stone Emporium in Pokémon X. To the left, there's a wealthy chap selling the two Mega Stones for the starters you didn't choose. If you have no style, he'll sell them for a whopping 1 million Poké Dollars, but at max style, he'll sell them for just 10,000 Poké Dollars. This is a good way to check. Also, this can only be done after you've completed the Johto League.

Secrets:
How to catch Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in Pokémon?
Keepz
170
As soon as you defeat the Pokémon League, you'll quickly encounter Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres while wandering around in the grass. You won't be able to catch it, as it flies away immediately without giving you a chance to throw a Poké Ball.

However, you've seen it, so you can look up its location in the Pokédex. Do that, and you'll see that it's located somewhere random on the map. It moves around frequently, so you need to get to it quickly on foot. Don't use the Fly HM, as doing so will cause the legendary bird to relocate to a completely different spot. The trick is to take advantage of this by flying to a central point (I recommend Lumiose City) until your Pokédex indicates that it’s nearby. Then, hurry to that route and dive into the grass! Sometimes you'll encounter a few other Pokémon first, and sometimes it may have flown away from that area, but most of the time, you will find it.

But you're not out of the woods yet! Even when you encounter it for the second time, it will fly away before you get a turn to throw a ball. An ability like Wobbuffet's (Shadow Tag) won't stop it from fleeing either. You'll need to encounter it at least 10 times, after which you'll see it listed in your Pokédex in Sea Spirit Den. Surf over there and enter the cave; if you're standing in the right spot, it will suddenly attack you! It won't run away this time, so you can catch it at your leisure. (Make sure to save before entering the cave!) In Pokémon X, this is a fantastic way to catch this legendary Pokémon!
